Diet

It is important to maintain a good, healthy diet. There are a number of good dietary guides available, and by contacting a dietician you can receive some helpful tips about what and how to eat in order to feel better. One measurement that is often used to work out whether a person is underweight or overweight is BMI (Body Mass Index). Because this model is based on the relationship between a person’s weight and height, it can be difficult to obtain a fair value if you have limb deficiencies.

On Region Skåne’s website there is a special calculator that takes into account the fact that you are missing all or parts of your arms or legs.
