The Swedish Thalidomide Society has been working on a three-year project (2013-2016) together with staff from EX-Center, which has been financed by the State Inheritance Fund. Participants in the project (persons with multiple limb deficiencies) were allowed to go through a year-long training program focusing on health, exercise, and diet. The purpose of the project was to obtain knowledge about health-promoting work for persons with multiple limb deficiencies. This knowledge will be incorporated into EX-Center’s work so that we can work even more effectively with health maintenance and health promotion. We will emphasize a healthy way of thinking in our patient contacts.
